Nothing like preparing for a non hurricane. Anthony had a good time helping. He carried my drill from window to window. Then tried real hard to screw on the wing nuts. Next hurricane season he will be able to help carry the big shutters around. :)

Back to Normal
Friday night Anthony stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Rice. It had been a month since he stayed the night and Grandma was dropping hints this week she wanted to watch him.
A night with grandma and grandpas so you know he was spoiled all night.
Friday afternoon before grandma picked him up we spent a while outside pushing the car and the kawasaki around. He gets tired of riding it so he likes to push it and load the front compartment up with rocks.
Sunday we went to the beach. Great day. Hot of course but a nice breeze. He had his swim stuff on but never made it to the water. He was happy playing in the sand for two hours. After that we went to Micky D's with Grandpa Dennis. The chant.... "We want Ice cream" was shouted. Sorry no ice cream. Too close to nap time, not that that mattered cause he didn't fall asleep. But he talked to himself for about an hour while laura and I went in the pool and listened on the monitor.
After food he went up in the play house. And so did I. Not really made for an adult. But he had fun showing me how to do every thing.
No broken bones, broken dishes or spilt milk so it was a good weekend.

All better and back to school
During dinner Thursday, like aways we asked Anthony about his day.
Did you have fun today? YEAH
Did you learn lots at school? YEAH
Did you win a million dollars? YEAH
What did you and grandpa do today? (short pause) LIZARD LIZARD LIZARD.
He and Grandpa Dennis caught a lizard with a net and Anthony got to touch it.
It was a good day.

Sick Update to the Update
Sunday night was a long night. We didn't sleep much.
Monday afternoon it was time to head back to the doctor. We might have been nearing the end of the fever but 5 days was enough. The doctor said he noticed the start of an ear infection. He gave him some antibiotics. He told us they are Free at Publix. :) Tuesday morning things were getting better. Wednesday morning he could breath out of his nose without a problem and he was hungry. Seems like he is almost back to normal. Time to head back to daycare Thursday. The doc suggested after a full day without fever you can go back to daycare. We waited two days.

Anthony is sick update
Still sick. He is sleeping well for about 6 hours. That is about the time the tylenol wears off. Then he wakes up calling daddy every 15 minutes. Saturday I waited until about 530 before I got him. Sunday we only made it until 430. He has been very thirsty in the AM, so I put the liquid tylenol in a little water so he would drink it up. He and I kinda of slept on the couch until 730. The hardest part is listening to him breath. He wakes himself up cause he cant breath every 10 min or so. Poor Guy. All weekend long he just wanted me to hold him. It has been a nice weekend just being there for him. Luckily he wanted me this weekend and not Laura. She worked all day both days on school work. Monday we will head back to the doctors. They said the fever should only last 5 day. Sunday is the 5th day.

Sick Anthony
Anthony has had a cold on and off for a couple weeks. This week a fever started. Thursday afternoon we took him to the doctor. It was like we assumed, just a basic cold. We had been giving him Child Tylenol to bring the fever down... and improve attitude. Takes about 45 minutes to kick in. The doctor said that fevers rise in the morning and again about sundown. Yeah, he was right. So he said to give him Tylenol and Motrin in the AM and at night. Full doses.
We decided that I would take off work Friday and stay home with him. I am pretty sure I held him from 545a when he woke up until he went to bed at 7p. Thank goodness for Netflix, Barney and Cat in the Hat. Well worth the 8 dollars a month. For him being sick we actually had a good day. The highlight of the day was while watching Cat in the Hat. Lions were licking the people.
Then I feel something on the arm. It was Anthony licking me. Yeah it was pretty funny.
When Laura got home from work I figured he would go to her since we had been together all day. Nope. He was all about daddy. Wanted Daddy and nobody else. :)

The first Wednesday of the month the City of Cape Coral has an event at the beach. Car Show, Music, arts and crafts. The humidity was down to maybe 50 percent so it wasn't too bad with the ocean/river breeze. A little food, music, beach and playground made for a nice Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday, Anthony made it to Jason's Deli with Grandma Dennis. Time for Ice Cream.
Friday afternoon we sat outside and played in the yard. In the shade it was tolerable. Can't wait for Fall.
Saturday Anthony and I went to the park and played peek a boo, chased lizards and did pushups.
Laura didn't need to go to the gym, plenty of workout in the park.
