Skyline Skate Night

Anthony made it to the SKyline Elem Skate night. This is Laura's favorite activity as a kid. She still loves to go show her students how to skate. She has her own speed skates.
Anthony enjoyed watching all the kids go round and round. Some of Laura's students fro last year were there and got to see Anthony. On the way there he was kicking and making all kinds of noises with his mouth. It was hard to get a good photo.

Anthony eats a chip

Big boy moment. Kinda cool to see and hear him take a bite. He has been eating smaller things for a few months but this is his first baked chip.

11 months

11 months already. This has been a fast 20 months. He is standing and balancing for 3 - 4 seconds at a time but then squats down to the catcher position. Hasn't taken a free standing step yet. When he finally does, it will be tough since I know he will fall and then cry. Guess that is all part of growing up. He is transitioning to a bottle each night for dinner before bed. We started Sunday . Of course when we lay him in his crib he cries. The first 3 nights for almost 30 min. Wednesday night it was closer to 20 minutes so maybe he is accepting falling asleep in the crib instead of falling asleep eating. His first recognizable word besides Sasha or Forrest is fan. He now realizes when we flip the switch the fan will come on. I flipped it on yesterday and he immediately pointed and looked at the fan. Then a while later I said fan and he looked up and pointed. In these photos we are at Sonnys with Grandma and Grandpa Rice.

The Weekend

I was gone racing Saturday , but Anthony stayed awake long enough for me to get home and see him. Then Laura went to feed him and I trimmed the yard, then when he fell asleep, I was finished and Laura went out to mow. It was getting a little dark ok it was dark, but the security lights in the back helped. Sunday we went to lunch with grandma rice and great grandma Tennison at bob Evans . Then we went to the park to take some photos. Laura had school work so Anthony and I went to Publix . He wasn't ready to go to sleep at his normal 7pm bed time so about 830 Laura went to bed and I fed him. He wasn't fussy just was past tired and wanted to stay up. About 930 I put him in bed and he cried himself to sleep. Only to 10 minutes.

The Weekend

It was a pretty good weekend. Saturday Anthony went to grandma and grandpa rice's house and grandma watched Anthony while my dad and I built our new rc cars. This gave Laura a chance to do her own things before she heads back to schools Monday . In the afternoon she came over so she could feed him though. Her big alone time consisted of the gym and some laundry also some cleaning.
Sunday morning Anthony and I went to Publix. He has all the ladies there in his pocket. They love him. Then we ran into Lee and Mike. Every isle we got to see them so he was happy. Later we went to "mom" something store. Used baby stuff. Anthony like the pictured vehicle . It was only 16 dollars. Hint hint hint, birthday hint. Sept 17th. It is at the store in the Dominos / hungry howies plaza on del Prado . UPDATE... I GAVE IN... WENT BACK MONDAY AND BOUGHT IT.
Then we went to walmart. It was hard to get a good photo of him. I think Anthony was wore out looking at all the interesting people there. Back to school shoppers. It was packed. Then later on grandma and grandpa Dennis stopped by. What a day. Anthony was asleep like normal about 715

Anthony eats a strawberry

Anthony will eat anything... Almost

He likes Watermelon, beans, lettuce, carrots, pees, chicken and dumplings, strawberries (whole, he bites them), Sonnys pork and baked beans, cauliflower, blue berries just to name a few. The only thing he doesn't like is cottage cheese so far. Last night at Sonny's with grandma and grandpa rice he spit out the cottage cheese on the first and second attempt.
