This morning, Anthony woke up at 545 when Laura's alarm went off. We heard him talking... he kept repeating the same thing, then it clicked. "Good Morning" he was saying. He kept saying it until he walked to our bedroom.
Last Night at dinner at Lenny C's (a pizza place) they had a few arcade games. One was a racing game. He stood in the seat, reached up to the monitor and started swiping the screen... Like we do on our phones or tablets.
We strapped him in the truck and both Laura and I got in the front seat like normal. He started saying something but again it didn't click. We finally looked at him. "Door Open" "Door Open" . We left his door open and he knew that wasn't right. (side note... I hadn't started the truck yet.)

Saturday Fall Festivals
In the morning we went to Kids Fest. It was very busy. Had a great time though. Anthony was pretty good about holding our hand while walking.
A BALLOON... his favorite thing.
He got a sucker. I wasn't fast enough to head off the person giving candy. I couldn't take it away after he had it in his hand. A little messy but not too bad.
Next An obstacle course set up by some friends of ours for the Mud Run benefiting the Children's Hospital. He didn't want to let the sucker go.
We put him in the fire truck but he didn't like it. If there wasn't a line I could have talked him into it.
Nap Time.
Time for dinner at Outback. (gotta love coupons)
We planned to go a pumpkin patch at a church on Hancock. When we got there, it was their Fall Festival. Long Lines so we didn't play many games. Did get to pick out a pumpkin. High roller... Anthony picked out the 1 dollar one. He liked the big ones but could carry the smaller one around.
They had a robot.. since he likes robots we figured he would like a real/man robot. He didn't. But as we walked away that is all he talked about though. Next time maybe.
Had a great time at both events.

Friday Night
We went to dinner, then got a text from Lee and Mike and they were playing pool at the bowling alley down the street. We pulled in to drop Laura off so she could have a few minutes of adult time. Anthony saw the building and got really excited. He remembered they have games there. No one was there so he got to play pool for a few minutes. Late night... We were out until 730.

A few weeks ago Laura gave Anthony a catalog with costumes in it so he can choose what he wants to be. First spiderman... but then he flipped the page and there is was. A Robot. Later that afternoon when I got home he was really excited to show me what he picked out. This past week it arrived. He couldn't wait to put it on. For the rest of the day he wore it. Luckily we were able to hide it so the next morning he wouldn't want to wear it. We should be able to hold off for the weekend now.
This week my mom took off for the week for vacation. So she wanted to pick him up after a half day at school each day.
No naps so far this week. But he has been pretty happy.
Since I pick him up on the way home, Laura has bee working late each day.

Friday was Anthony's first full day at daycare. He did well the teacher said. He took about 20 minutes to fall asleep at nap time. I am actually surprised he fell asleep at all.In the afternoon we visited Lee. Her sister and Friend were down from up north.
Then to Perkins (Laura's CHoice)He was full of energy.(Translation... a handfull)
Saturday: Great weather... so we went to the park. This is the first time Anthony went all the way down the trail holding both our hands. It made the trip a lot easier. We ran around the pier for a while. Then on the way back he wanted to stop and look at everything. He had his first experience with multiple fire ants. He tried to get them off then finally came running yelling "ants". We ran back (a whole 30 feet) I picked him up so laura could yank off his shoes and socks. I am guessing 15 - 20 bites. Didn't cry much. I am waiting for them to start itching.
Now it was nap time... Laura left to go dance in the Columbus Day Parade in downtown Cape. When Anthony woke up we went down. His first parade. He actually stayed in the stroller the whole time and didn't try to wiggle out thank goodness.
Sunday Laura had a baby shower to go to, so it was Anthony and I out on the town. Maybe not... it was nap time and he slept for a good 2.5 hours. For dinner we went over to Lee's house. Her sister and friend were down and her sister made Turkey will all the traditional stuff. It was good and Anthony thought so too.
Great weekend. He was a happy boy.

Moving To The Big Bed
For at least a month, Anthony has been sleeping in the Big Bed during his nap at Grandma and Grandpa Dennis' House.
About two weeks ago we moved the twin bed (Laura's childhood/early adult bed) from the spare room, to start the transition. He would play a little on it but not that interested in sleeping on it. Around the same time he was waking up in the middle of the night crying etc. Get him or let him cry it out? Well, he had done it before but know he knew how easy it is to crawl out of the crib. My fear is him falling and breaking something. One night I put him back in the crib after crying. I laid on the floor hoping he would fall asleep. Then he started to crawl out. All he did was lift his leg over the rail. It was that easy. So we decided to push a little for the Big Bed. Laura got him to lay down at bed time on it and he fell asleep. First two nights he woke up and came crying in our room. So I slept with him in his bed. The 3rd night he slept all night. 2 out of 7 nights he slept without waking and coming in our room. It is a start at least. Last night he never cried, I just woke up to him running into our room. Happy to be there with us. Hard to take him back immediately so I pulled him up in bed for a few minutes... or hours until he was cramping my style while trying to sleep. Back to his bed we went. Surprisingly, him being able to explore the house without me knowing doesn't bother as much as I thought. It is just part of it.

Cousin Vincent and Dad's Birthday weekend.
Friday night we started out at Hooters for dinner with Mike and Lee. It is noisy in there so if Anthony gets impatient, it doesn't matter. (gift cards are great. Thanks to my boss for dinner)
Saturday was Cousin Vinnie's 1st Birthday Party. There were a few other kids there so they had lots to do. The smash cake didn't go as planned. (they never do) Small tip though... don't get the red icing from Publix for a smash cake. If they do get it all over them, it takes a bath or more to get it off. The die imbeds itself in the skin. Uncle Mike was trying to feed all the kids some cake. None of them wanted any... except Anthony. He was all about the cake. Present time went well. Wasn't sure how he was going to be since he just had a b day and got to open presents. He pretty much just watched.
He fell asleep on the way home so we knew nap time was going to be an issue. No nap... but he was happy. Sugar Rush??? not really sure. Off to grandma and grandpa Rice's for the night. Laura and I were off to Red Lobster for my birthday dinner. Endless shrimp. :)
Now to a fund raiser for breast cancer awareness which Laura was line dancing in.
Sunday was pool day. It has been a month. Anthony loved it. I think he likes playing in the hose as much as the pool though.
