4 Parks in 5 Days

Nice weekend. 

Started Wednesday with a trip to Veterans Park. The highlight was when Anthony dropped Laura's bottle of water into the water. It was floating toward shore but was going to take a while. Maybe we will find it another day.

Thursday we went to the baseball field playground on Veterans. Nothing special there.

Saturday was Laura's family b day party at Horton park.

Sunday we went to Four Freedoms Park. Nice playground. Fake grass and a rubber surface. No sand. Makes it nice for cleanup. 

Anthony decided it was time to slide face first.

Harry Chapin Hunger Walk 2012

First Laura, Anthony and my mom came to the Hunger Walk, Then went shopping at Miramar Outlets.
After I finished working the event, I went racing. They showed up to say hi at the track. Anthony road along with Alex, a fellow racers son.

 

Mid January Weekend

Saturday we went to the Horton Park. Lots of running around. If it is on the ground... he will pick it up and play with it. Then we watched some boats pull out of the boat ramp.
Sunday we had 2nd Cousin Chads 36th B-Day party. Then we went to the Fair.
Lots to look at. Even when he was on the marry go round, he was really into the other... bigger rides.
Tried to get a family photo, but the bigger rides still caught his attention.
Great weather. This was his test run before the Lee County Fair in late Feb.
Then we went home and had some watermelon.

Time for bed and time to brush his teeth. The easiest thing to teach Anthony so far is how to spit. We only showed him one time.

Monday Laura and I were off so we went to the Park. It was busy.

A day off

Laura and I were both off the day after Christmas so we decided to do something new. First we went to pet kingdom to check out the animals... Especially the birds. He loved it. Then we went to the airport to watch the planes. We drove around looking for a place to watch then finally went to the main building and asked where to go. They don't have a place to watch the planes but the lady let us go to the Tarmac and watch.

15 Month Check Up

Everything is good. Height is above average, weight is average Got a couple shots. He only needs one more before school starts in a couple years. Next Visit 18months, then a year and then.... once a year :)

Friday the 16th I took off work so Anthony and I could have a day. Also to give Grandma Dennis a little break. The day started out perfectly on schedule... until nap time. His 930a nap started at 1p. Luckily he wasn't tired or cranky. In the afternoon we went to meet Uncle Mike, Uncle Chris and Aunt June at Nemos/Bowland. Anthony likes everything that is round. Everything similar in shape is a ball. So I knew bowling balls would be a hit. Yeah he liked them. Got so excited he ran to the step up but forgot to step up. Bloody lip :( Then he tried to pick up a 14lb ball. He grunted trying. Saturday: We had a wedding in the afternoon so Grandma and Grandpa Dennis came over to watch him. They took him to a CHristmas party for Parks and Rec. He apparently was the hit of the party. Then later Grandma and Grandpa Rice picked him up and he stayed the night there. Sunday: Time to dig up the Dennis Christmas Tree in North North Cape Coral. Anthony ended up staying with Aunt Christina and got to play with Cousin Brooklyn and Cousin Alana for an hours or so. Then to the Dennis's to decorate the tree. Didn't work out though... he wanted to play with everything. Monday: Late nap so Laura decorated the Dennis tree. Tuesday: Laura stayed late for parent teach conferences, so it was a guys afternoon. We went to the bowling alley near our house. Yeah I think he will be a bowler. Then we went to the park. Time to cook dinner and eat. laura came home around 630. Got to love an 11 hour work day.

Anthony's First 2011 Christmas Present

He and I went to Publix this afternoon and one of his girlfriends from the deli waved me over and said she had a gift from the Deli for him. He was happy. I think he is getting used to having girlfriends at Publix. They run him down in the store to give him balloons. His black eye was from him being a boy. At Grandma and Grandpa Dennis's today, he was helping grandpa trim trees. He got caught up and tripped while climbing over some branches.

How knows where is head, nose and mouth are... well sometimes.
Sunday morning he started to try and say train.
His out of the ordinary list of words or partial words are:
Bird -his favorite. He loves birds. He can spot them before we can. He has been saying bird for a few weeks now.

Grandpa - He gets the entire word out 1 out of 10 tries. Ends up being Pa most of the time.
