Saturday we went to a Cape Coral Parks and Rec event. They were showing off all the activities you can do in the Cape. Had a good time. The teacher from the music/dance class Anthony has been taking was there. So Anthony got to show off the stuff he has learned.  (video below). In the giveaway I won two rounds of golf.
Sunday it was beach time. Normal beach day. Anthony wants to play in the water with older kids. He doesn't realize that he can only walk out so far before his head goes under. He just wants to keep walking. (yes we are right beside him) The we went to four freedoms and ran into his buddy Zayne. He and his Great Grandfather are always at the parks.
The first days of school went well but now he doesn't want us to leave and cries. It makes the mornings a little harder.
The morning at home goes fast. Food, dressed and Out the door at 645... AM.

On Laura's last day off she decided to paint. I am undecided on the color. Technically I picked it out though... she sent me a photo of a couple swatches and I picked one. We are going Key West Style. Not as bright in person.

School seems to be going well. Thursday he didn't want mom to leave and started to cry. Friday everything was fine. Wednesday I took off to go to Anthony's music class. He has learned a lot in the last 5 weeks in class. Also a teachers pet. He helps clean up the toys. Too bad he doesn't do that at home.

First Day of School

First day of school. Laura was running a little latter than she wanted to this morning. Arrive at 7 ... or 745. That is close. 

Laura decided to put his initials on his book bag. His underwear is next. Poor Kid.

He was just happy to be the first one there. That means he got to play with all the toys first.

As I am writing this, he only has 90 minutes left before Laura picks him up and then it will be nap time.

Too bad he can't tell us about his day yet. 

His list of words he knows grows every day. 1 - 2 words a day now. We definitely have to watch what we say.

Sunday morning we went to the beach. Cooler morning... it was only in the low 80's.
No fear. He walked all the way to his mouth and wanted to keep going. It is getting easier to bring him to the beach knowing he can hold his breath (as seen in video) We were within arms reach just in case.

Wednesday part 2

Dinner at sonnys with gma and gpa rice. Something to play Barney etc on is great to distract him for the last 10 minutes of dinner so we can finish. Then Anthony helped Laura pull weeds . He actually pulled weeds and not flowers.

Wednesday the 18th

Time for singing and dancing class. He loves it. Then to Barnes and noble . First time there. Lots of toys surprisingly . He was really into Legos . Total concentration. He pulled all of the "robots " off the shelf to look at them. Robots and trains are his favorite. Leaning towards robots now.

First Art Project

When I got home Monday, Laura and Anthony were making art. Looks like he had a great time.
We are preparing him for school next week. Monday is the big day.

Saturday we went to the pool and had a burger. No we didn't wait 30 minutes before getting in the water. Now it was off to The Rice's for the night

Grandma and Grandpa had a surprise for him. Yeah he was happy. This makes it easier on Grandma & Grandpa also. When he is in the actual pool, you could almost use 3 people to watch him.

Saturday night Anthony had a new milestone... he went to the bathroom in the kids potty. We have been having him sit on it after he goes in the diaper. 

He said Potty to Grandma so she sat him on it without a diaper and we went. Good Job. Sorry, no photos.

Sunday we went to Lakes Park with the Burnley's. There is one waterfall thing that he hasn't been too sure about. This time he walked under it by himself. 

Later in the afternoon we went to the pool again. This time without water wings. He is more comfortable jumping/diving in. We let him go under as we catch him so he learns to hold his breath. He does a really good job swimming to the surface and holding his breath. (we only let him go a few inches underwater) I feel confident that if he did fall in, he could make it to the top of the water.

Overall good weekend. Laura had her first Official Line Dancing Performance. Storm Warning Dancers. Video is pretty dark since it was at a Club.

Sunday was another pool day. I think we went in the pool every day for 5 days while I was off on vacation. Lots of fun. Glad we have a neighbor that lets us use the pool anytime.

FInal Days of Vacation

Friday the 6th we went with Savannah and Candi to the Cape Beach.

2012 Red, White and Boom in Cape Coral. Yes it was hot but we suffered through it in the VIP tent.  with the Burnley's. Free food and drinks.

Well past his bed time. We left before the fireworks.

 Thursday the 5th we went to Lakes Park. It is pretty nice and at 9am it was almost empty.
Free entrance and only 1 buck and hour to park (or 5 per day). We stayed two hours.

It is a really big play area.

 They also have a water park.

 No nap time today... he didn't want to sleep. 

Went to Toys R Us. He really likes Spiderman.

Since we were passing by, we stopped in Chuck E Cheese. Stayed about 30 minutes and spent 

2 dollars.

Sometime in the middle of the day we went swimming in the pool also. It was an action packed day.

Friday afternoon we had dinner with Uncle Mike, and Cuusins Steve and Vanessa at Nemos.

Anthony really likes wings. And it takes him a while to eat. That is a good thing with an almost 2 year old.

Pictures were difficult cause after everybody cleared out, he was ready to run around the pool tables and play Corn Hole. Might have to get Corn Hole for home... it also doubles as a slide.

Sunday afternoon Laura went to the movies with friends. Anthony braved the afternoon heat in the yard... for about 30 minutes. Then it was time to chase the cat. She had a hiding spot until he decided he can open the door and follow her. Sasha actually lets him chase and play with her.
