KORESHAN STATE PARK

Holiday weekend.. GMA and GPA Rice went to Koreshan State park for the weekend in the trailer. We visited on Saturday. Nice park. Soon it will be too hot to go there though. We had a great time. Swinging, sleeping, sliding and walking down some trails. Lots more trails to walk down but it was almost nap time. On the way home, everyone else feel asleep. Laura, Anthony and Ethan had a nice nap.

After the 2 month doc appointment, it was time to meet up with the Burnley's at Chic Fil A for there 4 year birthday party at the Pine Island rd location. Had a few things going on. Playground inside... food... bounce house... a band... photos with the cow.
Shane took Anthony out to get started on the bounce house while Laura and I finished eating. Savannah wasn't ready for the bounce house with all the boys and older kids jumping around. She was happy watching Ethan sleep.  Right now, Anthony doesn't have any fear, so he jumped right in the bounce house. Luckily when it was time to go he was easy going and was ready to leave. "I was surprised"

2 month Check Up

Everything is good. Blood levels are up and we no longer need to visit the Hematologist. Ethan has a hernia... What? It is a common thing on the belly button . Doctor said there is no pain , it just sticks out a little. Will take some time, but it will close up.

Saturday we went to visit the Burnley's in their new house. Savannah and Anthony had a great time playing. Anthony had some totally different toys to play with. Gonna have to go home and play with some bugs so he can "boy up" lol

Catching Up

I know it has been a while. With the new addition there isn't much free time. Everything is pretty standard. We had a few days of jaundice at the beginning. After a few bilirubin tests, everything is fine. Now on to his low iron. He levels were low so we are going to a hematologist. In my opinion a scam. Nothing his pediatrician couldn't handle. Blood test... read it.... advise to take more iron. But there is always that "what if" so we have another blood test in about 10 days.
On a good note, Ethan is growing fast. Moving on up in diaper and clothes sizes. He is eating well. Just started with a bottle to give Laura a little break at night. Luckily for me, last night he slept 4 hours straight... but before he woke up for my turn to feed him, Anthony came into our room so I went with him back to his room and went to sleep. I don't think I will be that lucky tonight.
Right now, Anthony and Ethan are sleeping and Laura is Line Dancing. I think this is the first time the house has been quiet in weeks. Not many photos of Ethan yet since they all pretty much him sleeping or being held. No tricks yet.

After a second try, the baby shower was a go. The original date was when Laura was visiting the hospital for a 5 day vacation. Being waited on 24/7. Nice.

Easter 2013

It is time for the big hunt. Anthony and Cousin Vincent had a great time searching for eggs. Later, the adults got in on the search.

Almost Beach time of the year. Just a quick evening trip to the cape beach. Water wasn't too bad but I didn't get in. Anthony was ready but I wouldn't let him go past a couple inches deep since I wasn't in my swim trunks. Of course a cold front is approaching. Can't wait for warmer beach weather .
